3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1

You must be at least 18 years old and, where applicable, authorised to act on behalf of any individual, business, organisation, or other entity you represent.

3.2

Accounts may be created using Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity carried out through your account.

3.3

You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information and keep it updated at all times.

3.4

Review International reserves the right to verify your identity and, where applicable, your authority to act on behalf of any individual, business, organisation, or other entity. Failure to provide requested information may result in restrictions, suspension, or termination of your account.

4. Account Types

4.1 Business and Professional Accounts

Business and Professional Accounts enable organisations and individuals to:

  • create and maintain a COMMANCHOR profile;
  • invite and collect References and Recommendations;
  • request verification of selected References and Recommendations;
  • receive verified trust records, where applicable;
  • share their COMMANCHOR profile once eligibility requirements have been met; and
  • view COMMANCHOR profiles where authorised.

4.2 Professional Accounts

Professional Accounts enable individuals to establish a verified professional COMMANCHOR profile that is separate from any business or organisational account with which they may be associated.

4.3 Account Representation

Users must not misrepresent their identity, the type of account they operate, or their authority to act on behalf of any individual, business, organisation, or other entity.

5. Verification Process

5.1 Collection and Verification of References

Users may invite referees to submit references through the Platform. Before publication, all submitted references are subject to moderation for spam, fraud, abusive or inappropriate content, and compliance with these Terms.

References published without Review International's verification will be clearly identified as Unverified. Publication of an unverified reference does not mean that Review International has verified the identity of the referee, the existence of the commercial or professional relationship, or the accuracy of the information provided.

Verification of a reference is a separate service and may be available only to eligible users or subscribers. Where a reference undergoes verification, the Verification Chain may include:

  • invitation of the referee;
  • verification of the referee's identity;
  • verification of the commercial or professional relationship;
  • review of supporting documentation, where available; and
  • final approval by Review International.

Only references that have successfully completed the Verification Chain will be identified as Verified by Review International.

5.2

Review International verifies identities and relationships but does not independently audit every factual statement contained within a Reference.

5.3

The Platform does not use star ratings or numerical review scores. References are presented as structured evidence against the Six Dimensions.

5.4

Review International reserves the right to refuse publication of any Reference where it reasonably believes publication may:

  • breach applicable law;
  • disclose confidential information;
  • contain unlawful or defamatory material; or
  • expose Review International or users to legal or operational risk.

6. References, Accuracy and Disputes

6.1

Referees are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit.

6.2

Knowingly submitting false or misleading information constitutes a breach of these Terms.

6.3

Where an account holder disputes a Reference, Review International may investigate the dispute, request additional evidence, temporarily flag the Reference, and retain, amend or remove the Reference where appropriate.

6.4

Once approved, References become part of the permanent COMMANCHOR record and cannot be edited directly by the account holder or Referee after publication.

7. COMMANCHOR Profiles

7.1

Account holders may generate filtered versions of their COMMANCHOR profile using objective criteria such as industry, country, project type, relationship type or date range.

7.2

Where a user creates a filtered or audience-specific COMMANCHOR profile, it must clearly state that it represents only a selected portion of the user's complete COMMANCHOR trust record.

7.3

Users must not selectively include or exclude verified References or Recommendations for the purpose of creating a false or misleading impression of their commercial or professional reputation.

7.4

The total number of verified References and verified Recommendations held by the user will remain visible on every COMMANCHOR profile, including filtered versions.

7.5

Any authorised Viewer may request access to the user's complete COMMANCHOR profile. Access to the complete profile remains subject to the user's consent and any applicable privacy settings.

8. Referee Personal Data

8.1

References may include a Referee's name, organisation, job title and professional role.

8.2

This information is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

8.3

Before submitting a Reference, Referees are informed that their Reference will become part of a continuing COMMANCHOR profile rather than a one-time private communication.

8.4

Where appropriate and permitted by law, Review International may anonymise a Referee's identity while retaining the substance of the Reference.

8.5

Further information regarding retention periods, data protection rights and requests is contained within our Privacy Policy.

9. International Data Transfers

9.1

Use of the Platform may involve the transfer of personal data between the United Kingdom and other jurisdictions where account holders, Referees or Viewers are located.

9.2

Where Review International transfers personal data internationally, appropriate safeguards will be implemented in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

9.3

Users remain responsible for ensuring their own use of the Platform complies with the laws applicable within their jurisdiction.

10. User Obligations

10.1

You must not:

  • submit or procure the submission of false, misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory References or Recommendations;
  • fabricate, alter, or misrepresent supporting documentation or evidence;
  • impersonate another individual, business, organisation, or other entity;
  • misrepresent your identity, authority, qualifications, employment, or commercial relationships;
  • manipulate, interfere with, or attempt to circumvent the Verification Chain;
  • pressure, coerce, induce, or improperly influence a referee or recommender;
  • use the Platform to harass, defame, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against another person;
  • access or attempt to access COMMANCHOR profiles or other restricted information without proper authorisation;
  • scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically extract Platform data;
  • use automated tools, bots, or scripts to collect Platform data without prior written permission;
  • interfere with the security, availability, or functionality of the Platform;
  • upload malicious software, code, or other harmful content;
  • create a false or misleading impression through the selective presentation of verified trust records; or
  • use the Platform for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.

10.2

Review International may investigate suspected misuse, request additional information or supporting evidence, suspend or restrict accounts, and temporarily or permanently remove, flag, or change the verification status of affected References, Recommendations, or COMMANCHOR profiles while investigations are carried out.

10.3

Review International may use automated and manual fraud detection, identity verification, and risk assessment processes to identify suspicious activity and protect the integrity, security, and reliability of the Platform. Automated systems are used to assist decision-making and do not replace human review where a decision may have a significant effect on a user.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1

The Platform, including COMMANCHOR, the Global Commercial Passport, the Six Dimensions framework, verification methodologies, trust record framework, branding, names, logos, software, databases, algorithms, workflows, processes, layout, design, and presentation are the intellectual property of Review International Ltd or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

11.2

COMMANCHOR is a proprietary trust credential and commercial passport developed, issued, and maintained by Review International Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Platform, COMMANCHOR, the Verification Chain, or Review International's proprietary methodologies to any user.

11.3

By submitting a Reference or Recommendation, the referee or recommender grants Review International a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to receive, store, verify, process, preserve, reproduce, format, display, and otherwise use that content for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform and the user's trust record or COMMANCHOR.

11.4

Ownership of supporting documentation remains with the party providing it. Submission of supporting documentation does not transfer ownership to Review International.

11.5

Supporting documentation will be used solely for verification and compliance purposes unless the owner expressly authorises its publication or disclosure, or disclosure is required by law.

11.6

Verified References and Recommendations form part of the user's trust record. Subject to maintaining an active COMMANCHOR subscription and complying with these Terms, eligible users are granted the right to generate, display, download, share, and use their COMMANCHOR (Commercial Passport). Review International retains ownership of the Platform, the Verification Chain, the COMMANCHOR methodology, and all associated intellectual property.

11.7

Users must not reproduce, copy, adapt, reverse engineer, extract, commercialise, or create derivative works from the Platform, the Verification Chain, or Review International's proprietary methodologies except as expressly permitted in writing by Review International.

12. Acceptable Use of COMMANCHOR

12.1

COMMANCHOR (Commercial Passport) is a premium trust credential available to eligible users with an active paid plan. It is intended to support legitimate commercial, professional, recruitment, procurement, lending, compliance, and other lawful due diligence activities.

12.2

Users with an active COMMANCHOR subscription may generate, display, download, and share their own COMMANCHOR in accordance with these Terms.

12.3

Users must not reproduce, publish, redistribute, sell, create databases from, modify, or commercially exploit another user's COMMANCHOR profile or any other Platform content without the prior written permission of Review International or the relevant rights holder.

12.4

Information accessed through the Platform must be used only for the purpose for which access was granted and should be treated as confidential unless disclosure is authorised by the relevant account holder, permitted by these Terms, or required by law.

12.5

Users must not alter, remove, obscure, or misrepresent any verification status, trust indicators, disclaimers, or other information displayed as part of a COMMANCHOR.

12.6

If a user's COMMANCHOR subscription expires or is terminated, the user's verified trust records will remain securely stored on the Platform, but the COMMANCHOR may no longer be generated, shared, or presented until the applicable subscription is reactivated.

13. Fees, Verification Services and Subscriptions

13.1

Certain features of the Platform, including verification services, COMMANCHOR (Commercial Passport), subscriptions, verification credits, and other premium services, require payment.

13.2

Subscription plans, verification fees, verification credit allowances, pricing, billing periods, and available features will be published separately and may be updated from time to time.

13.3

Unless otherwise stated:

  • subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled;
  • subscription fees and verification fees are non-refundable except where required by law;
  • prices may change upon reasonable notice;
  • failure to pay may result in suspension or restriction of access to paid features, including COMMANCHOR.

13.4

Verification services are provided only upon request and are subject to the user's available verification credits or payment of the applicable verification fee.

13.5

Applicable taxes, including VAT where required by law, may be added to subscription fees, verification fees, and other charges.

13.6

Users may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

14. Service Availability

14.1

Review International aims to provide reliable access to the Platform, verification services, and COMMANCHOR but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

14.2

Access to the Platform or any of its services may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, software updates, security enhancements, verification processes, technical failures, third-party service interruptions, or events beyond Review International's reasonable control.

14.3

Review International may suspend or restrict access to all or part of the Platform where reasonably necessary to protect the security, integrity, or lawful operation of the Platform, the Verification Chain, or COMMANCHOR.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

15.1

References and Recommendations reflect the views, opinions, and statements of the individuals or organisations that submitted them.

15.2

Publication of a Reference or Recommendation, whether Verified or Unverified, does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty by Review International of the author's opinions or the overall suitability, performance, or reliability of the account holder.

15.3

An Unverified Reference or Recommendation has not undergone Review International's Verification Chain. A Verified Reference or Recommendation confirms only that Review International has verified, to the extent applicable, the identity of the author, the claimed commercial or professional relationship, and any supporting evidence reviewed as part of the verification process. Verification does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of every factual statement or opinion contained within the submission, nor does it guarantee the future conduct, financial standing, competence, reliability, or performance of any person or organisation.

15.4

COMMANCHOR is a trust credential designed to support commercial and professional decision-making. Users and Viewers remain responsible for conducting their own independent assessment and due diligence where appropriate.

15.5

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Review International excludes all warranties, representations, and conditions not expressly stated in these Terms.

15.6

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Review International shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or economic loss arising from the use of the Platform, verification services, COMMANCHOR, or reliance upon any Reference, Recommendation, trust record, or COMMANCHOR profile.

15.7

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

16. Indemnity

16.1

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Review International Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, verification partners, agents, and representatives against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:

  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your misuse of the Platform, COMMANCHOR, or the Verification Chain;
  • any false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, or unlawful Reference or Recommendation submitted, requested, or solicited by you;
  • any supporting documentation or information provided by you that is false, misleading, or unlawfully obtained;
  • your infringement of the rights, privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property of any third party; or
  • your unlawful or unauthorised use of the Platform or its services.

17. Suspension and Termination

17.1

Review International may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account immediately where it reasonably believes that you have breached these Terms, compromised the security, integrity, or reputation of the Platform, the Verification Chain, or COMMANCHOR, or where such action is required by law.

17.2

During any investigation, Review International may temporarily suspend your account, restrict access to particular Platform features, suspend verification requests, or temporarily withdraw access to your COMMANCHOR.

17.3

You may close your account at any time by following the account closure process provided within the Platform or by contacting Review International.

17.4

Closure or termination of an account does not automatically remove References, Recommendations, verified trust records, or verification records where Review International has a lawful basis or legitimate business reason to retain them, including to preserve the integrity of the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud.

17.5

Where a COMMANCHOR subscription ends or an account is closed, the user's COMMANCHOR may be deactivated and become unavailable for sharing. Any verified trust records retained by Review International may be reactivated if the user later reopens or restores an eligible account, subject to these Terms.

17.6

Nothing in this Section limits any rights available under applicable data protection legislation. Review International will retain, delete, or otherwise process personal data in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.

18. Force Majeure

18.1

Review International shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such delay, interruption, or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, changes in law, war, terrorism, civil unrest, cyber attacks, internet or telecommunications failures, utility outages, failures of third-party service providers, labour disputes, or any other unforeseen event beyond its reasonable control.

18.2

During the occurrence of a force majeure event, Review International may suspend, delay, or modify the provision of affected services until it is reasonably able to resume normal operations.

19. Severability

19.1

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, in whole or in part, that provision shall, to the extent necessary, be deemed severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20. Waiver

20.1

No failure or delay by Review International in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right, power, or remedy. Any waiver shall be effective only if made expressly in writing by Review International.

21. Entire Agreement

21.1

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies, guidelines, or documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between Review International Ltd and the user in relation to the Platform, verification services, COMMANCHOR, and all related services, and supersede any prior agreements, representations, or understandings relating to the same subject matter.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

22.1

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

22.2

Subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer protection laws, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Platform, COMMANCHOR, the Verification Chain, or any related services.

23. Changes to These Terms

23.1

Review International may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, COMMANCHOR, verification services, applicable law, regulatory requirements, or business operations.

23.2

Where changes are material, Review International will provide reasonable notice before the revised Terms take effect, unless an immediate change is required by law or to address security, fraud, or other urgent operational matters.

23.3

Continued access to or use of the Platform after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms.
